Rock Hill police: Change jar with $700 in it stolen
A Rock Hill woman coming home from working the night shift Thursday found that cunning thieves had sneaked off from her home with a water jug containing more than $700 in change.
The woman, who lives on Bose Avenue, told police she did not notice anything else missing except the change jar. The denominations of the coins is unclear, but $700 in coins could weigh in the hundreds of pounds. No other items were reported missing from the home, and it was unclear how the coin thief gained entry.
Forensic detectives processed the home but an arrest has not been made, the police report from the incident states.
