Police: Rock Hill woman sees ‘sneaking’ felons with gun, 2 arrested
An alert Rock Hill woman called police Sunday morning after seeing two men “sneaking” past her window with a gun, police said, leading to the arrest of two convicted violent felons.
The incident happened before 7 a.m. when the woman called police after seeing two men – one with a gun – “sneaking” around a house on Center Street. The man with the gun looked directly at the woman, she told officers, then she called for help.
Police found both men nearby and found a gun in the possession of one man and ammunition in the possession of the other, a police report states.
Gary Lee Patterson, 32, and William Alexander Jackson, 49, who each have multiple felony convictions on their records that prevent them from possessing guns or ammunition, were arrested on weapons charges. Patterson, who police say had drugs in his pocket, also was charged with marijuana possession.
