Police: Rock Hill woman sprayed cleaner in boyfriend’s eyes
A Rock Hill woman was charged with aggravated domestic violence after she assaulted her boyfriend and sprayed household cleaner in his eyes, according to police.
Rock Hill police officers were called to a home in the 1500 block of Estes Drive at about 11 a.m. Thursday, according to a police report. They found the victim with a torn shirt, red marks on his face and neck, and bloodshot eyes.
The victim told officers he and his girlfriend, Lindsay Perez, had run an errand earlier in the morning, and that Perez slapped him during the ride home. After they arrived home, the report states, Perez became agitated when her boyfriend tried to keep her from leaving to buy drugs and began throwing plants at him.
Police say Perez continued to hit the victim, then grabbed a bottle of all-purpose cleaner and sprayed it in his eyes, burning his eyes and blurring his vision.
The victim had marks on his chest, sides and back where Perez scratched him with her fingernails, police said. He rolled onto the floor in the fetal position at one point during the assault, the report states, and Perez kicked him in the back and grabbed him by the back of the shirt and pulled up, causing the shirt to choke him.
Perez had reportedly taken some pills before police arrived, the report states, but appeared to be fine after an EMS evaluation. She was charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, and remained in the York County Detention Center on Friday under $2,500 bond.
The victim was treated at the scene by EMS.
