MCT file

A man was charged with indecent exposure after police saw him urinating in a parking lot outside a Rock Hill store, according to law enforcement records.

The incident happened just before 4 p.m. Friday outside Adams Grocery on the 500 block of South Wilson Street, according to a police report. Officers on patrol on Friedheim Road were passing the grocery and saw a man standing beside a vehicle in the parking lot.

The man was facing the roadway and had his genitals exposed while urinating in the parking lot, police said. There were patrons inside the store and motorists on the roadway at the time.

The suspect told officers he was “messing with his waist belt,” and after being arrested asked officers to “give him a warning instead.”
