Police: N.C. man threatened to kill ex, family with hatchet, bare hands

A North Carolina man remains jailed after he allegedly threatened to kill his ex and her family with a hatchet and his bare hands, then feed them to alligators, according to a York County Sheriff’s Office report and jail records.

Christopher Jorgensen, 35, of Monroe, N.C., was stopped by deputies late Thursday while driving from where he allegedly said he would kill his former girlfriend and others “slowly.”

Jorgensen told police he would take all the victims to Florida and feed them to alligators, the report states.

In an incident on Jordan Drive, Jorgensen carried a hatchet onto the porch where his ex was staying, then fled in his truck when the terrified occupants refused to let him in.

Jorgensen registered a blood alcohol content level of .31, the report states, which is almost four times over the legal limit.

Jorgensen is jailed under a $42,519.50 bond on charges of DUI and other alcohol charges, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, domestic violence, and assault and battery.
