Police: Rock Hill man attacked Life Alert salesman with knife, golf club
A Rock Hill man was charged with assault after allegedly attacking a Life Alert salesman with a knife and golf club, according to a police report.
In the incident Friday, the victim told police that he had an appointment with a woman on Baker Street to sell her a Life Alert button, the Rock Hill report states. However, the victim told police that Sammy James Adams, 65, cursed at him and demanded the salesman leave before attempting to slash the salesman with a knife then allegedly hitting him with a golf club.
Adams was charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, the report states.
Officers recovered a knife and golf club and seized video from the incident taken by the victim, the report states.
