2 arrested after shots fired at Rock Hill apartment complex
Two men were arrested this weekend after shots were fired outside a Rock Hill apartment complex.
Zaikeim Jones, 25, was charged with unlawful carry of a pistol. He was a passenger in a car driven by David Kinder, who was charged with driving without a license, according to Rock Hill Police.
Police were on foot patrol on the 700 block of Riverview Road when they heard approximately six to eight gunshots from the Patriot Parkway area. Dispatch received multiple calls from Mallard Point Apartments about shots fired.
Police discovered two cars in the parking lot were damaged by gunfire.
Officers noticed a Dodge Stratus speeding away, so police followed the car and initiated a traffic stop.
Police found several .380 pistol rounds and an empty magazine in the floor and a .38 special revolver under the front passenger seat. Officers also retraced the route and found a .380 semi-automatic handgun near O’Reilly Auto Parts, the report states.
Both men were taken to the Rock Hill jail. The case remains active pending further investigation.
