York Police are searching for a man they believe was involved in two shootings, including one on Saturday.

Anthony Christopher Shannon Jr., 22, is wanted on two counts of attempted murder and two counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to Chief Andy Robinson of the York Police Department.

Shannon, who goes by “Ant,” is accused of shooting a male acquaintance on July 4 on the 100 block of Hickory Lane in York, authorities say. Shannon fled before police arrived, but Robinson said the incident was witnessed by a large group of people.

Investigators say Shannon shot another male acquaintance Saturday on the 400 block of California Street in York. The shooting happened around 10:45 a.m., and Robinson said Shannon again fled before officers arrived.

Shannon is around 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds. His last known address is on Hickory Lane in York but he is known to frequent Rock Hill, Gastonia and Charlotte. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on Shannon’s whereabouts should call Detective Billy Mumaw at 803-684-4141, York County Crime Stoppers at 877-409-4321 or dial 911.
