A Rock Hill man who admitted to sexually assaulting a girl for three years – including taking pornographic videos of the girl when she was as young as 12 years old – was sentenced to 36 years in prison.

David Dickerson, 40, pleaded guilty Tuesday to first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and criminal sexual conduct with a minor, according to prosecutors and court records. Prosecutors with the S.C. Attorney General’s Office handled the case.

The victim reported the abuse in 2015, telling police that she had been assaulted for three years. Officers seized Dickerson’s phone, and found child pornography videos and photos, prosecutors said. Some of the videos showed the victim forced to perform sex acts.
