The Clover school board has approved funding for a middle school lacrosse program.

Superintendent Dr. Marc Sosne appointed Clover High School Athletic Director Bailey Jackson to lead Clover Middle and Oakridge Middle schools through the startup process.

The two schools will field one team, which will be open to seventh- and eighth-grade students within the district.

Jackson will work directly with Clover High head lacrosse coach Matt Lindner and the staff to help identify needs, purchase uniforms and equipment, identify coaches, schedule games, and assign field space.

Jackson and Lindner will work with the middle schools to finalize plans for workout/tryout dates in the next few weeks.
