Students and parents in Rock Hill can explore choices such as arts, language immersion and STEAM tomorrow.

A school choice fair is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Kenneth Monroe Transformation Center, 745 Saluda St.

Through Feb. 28, parents and guardians can apply for their student to attend one of several choice programs in Rock Hill schools.

Students generally must attend a public school based on where they live. But school choice programs are specialized programs that students can apply to attend, whether or not they are zoned to attend that school.

Rock Hill offers school choice programs in arts, International Baccalaureate, Inquiry, French and Spanish language immersion, Montessori and Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM).

Parents can apply on the Rock Hill school district’s website.
