The Chester County School District has a new top leader.

Antwon Sutton has been named the district’s new superintendent, a release from the district states.

Sutton replaces Angela Bain, who is retiring on June 30.

Sutton currently is the executive director of student services in the Fort Mill school district.

Sutton has also been a principal in Richland, York and Berkeley County, the release states.

“The Board of Trustees felt that Dr. Sutton exemplified the qualifications that our community groups had felt were essential for our next Superintendent,” states the release.
