Photos from the recent Nation Ford prom — and a chance for you to share yours

Herald photographer Tracy Kimball joined the crowd of teens at the prom to document the rite-of-passage through the lens of the camera.

They came in all forms. Some girls wore off-the-shoulder, some wore sequins and beads and others wore shimmery and slick. Some girls even wore sneakers with their formal gowns.

The junior and senior girls and boys from Nation Ford High School dressed to the nines for the annual prom at the Tega Cay Golf Club last Saturday.

They danced to the “Cha Cha Slide” and other songs. They rushed to the dance floor when their favorite pop song was played. They threw their arms in the air, their hands illuminated from the red and green glow of the spotlights.

They ate cake pops and posed in silly hats at a photo booth. And they crowned their prom king and queen.
