Deputies were at a high school in Chester County Wednesday afternoon after the school was put on lockdown because of a fight, officials said.

The fight and lockdown happened at Great Falls High School, according to a statement released on social media by the Chester County School District.

No injuries have been reported and no weapons have been recovered, the district said on its Web site and public Facebook page.

Great Falls is in southeastern Chester County near the Catawba River, between Rock Hill and Columbia. Great Falls is one of three high schools in the school district.

The Chester County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement released on social media that officials are asking the public to stay away from the school as investigation continues.

Deputies were on scene and more were being sent to the school, the sheriff’s office said in the statement.
