Rock Hill schools name 3 new leaders

The Rock Hill school district has named a new elementary school principal and two new assistant principals for the coming school year.

Brian Hammond has been named principal of Old Pointe Elementary School. He previously worked as an assistant principal at The Children’s School at Sylvia Circle and at Independence Elementary School.

Hammond will succeed Old Pointe Principal Tanya Campbell, who last month was named the Rock Hill school district’s chief personnel officer.

Two new assistant principals are:

▪ Keri Beth Brown has been named assistant principal at Sunset Park Center for Accelerated Studies. She succeeds Jamie Cochrane, who became assistant principal at Finley Road Elementary.

▪ Katrina Moody-Byers, a product of Rock Hill schools and a graduate of Northwestern High School, has been named an assistant principal at Northwestern.
