‘Super-sized THC gummy’ displayed in Missouri is the world’s largest, dispensary says
In creating a giant green gummy infused with cannabis, a regional dispensary hopes it will inspire innovation among its Missouri employees.
Medical cannabis producer Good Day Farm says it created the “super-sized THC gummy” — weighing 135 pounds and infused with 100,000 mg of THC — as part of the company’s Missouri expansion.
This is the “world’s largest gummy edible,” according to the company.
If you were to try the 2-foot-wide candy, it’d taste like sour apple, according to the Riverfront Times. It was inspired by the “world’s largest” cannabis-infused brownie that weighed in at 850 pounds in December.
“We decided that it would be a pretty cool idea to try to make the biggest infused gummy,” Good Day Farm Head Chef Peter Sturdevant told the news site. “It was really a nice way to give all of our new employees in the medical cannabis industry, and in my kitchen, something fun to do.”
Along with news of the giant gummy, Good Day Farm announced a new 106,000-square-foot cultivation Columbia facility in a Feb. 10 news release. The dispensary also has plans to open four retail locations in Missouri, which will offer its “best-selling THC-infused gummy collection” and other products.
“We’re thrilled to offer Missourians a taste of the most flavorful gummies in the South, and there’s no better way to demonstrate our super-sized commitment to the Show Me State than with a super-sized gummy,” Chief Marketing Officer Laurie Gregory said in a statement.
The gummy will have a permanent home in the Columbia facility, “serving to inspire the Company’s employees to strive for innovation daily,” according to the news release. Good Day Farm says it will have created 250 jobs in Missouri by late summer.
