A 28-year-old woman was found dead at the bottom of a waterfall in Hawaii after not returning to an agreed meetup spot, police said.

Nicole Chavez of Chile was found dead at the bottom of Wailua Falls in Hawaii after she was reported lost by her friend, according to a news release by the Kauai Police Department.

Police got the call at around 4 p.m. on Oct. 22 after Chavez “didn’t return to the Wailua Falls lookout for two hours,” according to the news release.

Hikers checked the bottom of the waterfall and found the 28-year-old unresponsive, police said.

Officials from different stations along with air rescue helped retrieve her, police said. Detectives don’t suspect foul play.

Officials with Wailua Falls remind the public that “no hiking,” and “no trespassing,” is allowed in the area.

Wailua Falls is a waterfall on the island of Kauai.
