Hunter tracking deer stumbles upon human remains, TN cops say. Then more were found
An investigation is underway after a hunter stumbled upon human remains in a wooded area, Tennessee deputies say.
Williamson County deputies said a hunter was tracking deer on Saturday, Nov. 26, when he spotted human skeletal remains. The remains were found in a wooded area near the eastern part of Clovercroft Road, about 20 miles south of Nashville.
The hunter immediately notified the sheriff’s office, according to a Nov. 28 Facebook post from the office. As officials investigated, they found more remains Monday.
Deputies said the remains appeared to have been “exposed to the weather for some time,” and they are working with forensic experts to identify the remains.
