Woman killed after her car rolls down driveway and runs over her, Florida cops say
A 62-year-old died after her car rolled down her driveway and ran her over, Florida state troopers say.
Troopers said the woman was backing out of her driveway at about 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, in Sumter County when she hit a parked SUV on the other side of the road.
The woman pulled back into her driveway and got out of her car to assess the damage, but she failed to put her car in park, according to an incident report from Florida Highway Patrol. The woman’s car then rolled back and ran her over, causing fatal injuries.
Sumter County is about 50 miles northwest of Orlando.
