A newborn Shetland pony at Walt Disney World’s Tri-Circle-D Ranch will have a fairy tale job for one of the park’s princesses when she grows up.

The foal, who was born at 4 a.m. on July 11, will one day help pull Cinderella’s pumpkin coach at the theme park, according to a news release from Walt Disney World.

The foal is the second “Cinderella pony” to be born at the ranch in Central Florida, the release says.

She is now living in the pasture and bonding with her mom, Lady, according to the theme park. The foal’s older sister, Lily, who was born in 2019, was featured on a season of “Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom,” a National Geographic series exploring the park’s animal experiences.

When Lily was born in 2019, Walt Disney World said she’d start training to pull Cinderella’s coach when she turned 2.

A name for the newborn foal has not yet been chosen.

The Tri-Circle-D Ranch is a ranch attraction at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground in Lake Buena Vista, about 20 miles southwest of downtown Orlando.

Newborn Shetland ponies usually weigh about 35 pounds and grow to be about 450 pounds, according to Walt Disney World. Foals start to become independent from their mothers after a few weeks.
