A house for sale in New Berlin, Wisconsin, is one of the most unique houses on the market in the Badger State, but not because of its windowed exterior, but because it’s an entirely different world on the inside.
The six-bedroom, seven-bathroom residence — which is listed for $1.45 million — recently went through an update that saw almost $400,000 thrown into renovations, the listing on Realtor.com says.
“This unique property is located on 17.49 acres of land with your own private lake and beach,” the listing says. “Outdoor entertainment area has been improved to include gazebo, multiple firepits, sitting areas and much more. Enjoy your fully updated indoor pool. Two brand new game rooms have been added to the property. Pictures truly do not do this property justice.”
Photos show the inside has the appeal of a wonderfully decorated cave with rock walls and ceilings in some rooms — including the great room, where several windows peer into the outside world. Other rooms have a more modern feel, notably the bedrooms and the additional game rooms. Plants round out the nature-like decor, bringing an outside appeal indoors.
The 6,254-square-foot house was featured on the popular TikTok page @zillowtastrophes, and the site’s creator was extremely impressed with the updates.
“It’s a plant lover’s dream,” the creator said of the two-story cave room. “With all the buzz this place gets on social media, it’s perfect for an Airbnd.”
While some liked the house, one person was hoping for an actual cave, they said in the comment section.
New Berlin is about 20 miles southwest of Milwaukee.
