Cases of Coors spill on highway as truck overturns, CA cops say. ‘Don’t get any ideas’
Cases of Coors spilled onto the side of a highway after a big rig overturned, California cops say.
The semi-truck overturned on Interstate 80 in Placer County, Monday, May 6, the California Highway Patrol- Gold Run said in a Facebook post.
“Apparently the mountains aren’t turning blue, but the cans are,” CHP wrote. “Icy roads didn’t stop this driver from popping the top and emptying more than a few.”
The crash left the big rig’s driver and passenger with minor injuries, CHP told KCRA-TV. Both have been released from the hospital.
In a video shared by CHP, “Pop a Top” by Alan Jackson plays in the background as photos of the overturned truck along with cases of Coors flowing from the broken trailer are displayed.
“Don’t get any ideas,” CHP wrote. “This scene will be cleaned up.”
Facebook commenters, nonetheless, were still quick to offer help.
“Oh nooooooo,” one Facbeook user wrote. “Ill be right there for clean up.”
“I have a truck if you need any help cleaning up,” another user wrote.
Others were also quick to joke about the spill.
“Roadside Sale,” one user wrote, while another commented, “all the bears just woke up!”
