A Florida man was killed when his golf cart struck a propane truck in Fort Myers, troopers say.

It happened just before 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, along Winkler Road, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the 44-year-old was driving south when he left the road, overcorrected and veered into oncoming traffic. His golf cart hit the front of a propane truck coming from the opposite direction.

The man died at the scene, troopers said. Authorities didn’t release his identity.

His passenger, a 30-year-old man, suffered minor injuries in the crash, according to an accident report. The driver of the propane truck was also injured.
