13-year-old driver killed when UTV with 3 teens inside overturns, Missouri cops say

Three 13-year-old boys were in a UTV when the teen driver missed a turn and flipped the vehicle, Missouri authorities said.

The aftermath on Oct 1. was fatal, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The 13-year-old driver died at the scene, according to troopers. One teen was seriously injured and taken to the hospital and the other teen suffered minor injuries, the report said.

The boys were driving a 2023 Polaris Ranger through a field in Franklin County, officers said.

The teen killed was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report. He was an eighth grade student at Union Middle School, according to KTVI.

Officials did not identify the teen killed.

Franklin County is about a 60-mile drive southwest from St. Louis.
