A massive fire consumed dozens of cars in a parking lot, ultimately destroying them, Texas fire officials said.

Video shows a fiery ring spanning across a portion of the lot at an apartment complex around 5:30 a.m. Oct. 14. Houston firefighters initially believed there were 20 vehicles affected, but later determined that there were approximately 30.

A photo taken after the blaze was extinguished showed the cars charred.

The cause of the fire is unknown, but arson investigators will speak with witnesses and residents of the apartment complex, according to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

McClatchy News reached out to the apartment complex to ask about the impact of the fire on residents. They did not immediately respond.

No injuries were reported, according to fire officials.
