TikTok star affectionately known as ‘Pookie’ undergoes ‘pre-cancer’ surgery
On Jan. 8, the Pucketts revealed that Campbell Puckett, affectionately known on the internet as “Pookie,” had to undergo surgery less than two months after giving birth to their first child.
According to the video shared on Campbell Puckett’s Instagram account, her husband, Jett Puckett, shared some details of his wife’s health issues with their millions of followers.
“Hey guys, I’ve got a little bit of a different update today,” Jett Puckett began. “Pookie had to have surgery to remove some pre-cancer.”
Jett Puckett explained they had learned about the pre-cancer “awhile back,” adding, “it’s been very scary especially for me.”
“I am so madly in love with Campbell that the thought of anything at all being wrong with her is frankly more than I can bear,” he continued.
“Campbell on the other hand has been incredibly strong, incredibly brave about this. She just always has this tremendously strong faith that everything is going to work out. I really love and cherish that about her.”
As the video continued, Jett Puckett revealed he had slipped out of the house while Campbell Puckett was recovering in bed to grab some of her favorite things, including her favorite Chick-fil-A order and four dozen white roses.
When he arrived at home with the surprise, Campbell Puckett was visibly emotional at her husband’s kind gesture, something they have become known for on the internet.
“You’re just the best,” she told her husband as he reiterated how proud he is of her.
Jett Puckett added that Campbell Puckett’s doctor is “cautiously optimistic” the surgery was successful and she should remain in the clear.
“I just try to stay strong and positive for Paloma,” Campbell Puckett told her husband, saying she knows everything is going to be OK.
Fans shared their well-wishes in the comments, praising both Campbell and Jett Puckett for how they support each other.
“Jett the way you love your wife will push her through any obstacle she may face in this life. She is a powerhouse and you are her backbone. She will do incredible,” one commenter wrote.
“Jett you’re the best caretaker, husband, and best friend to Pookie!!! Prayers for a speedy recovery and good news ahead,” another added.
Jett and Campbell Puckett became parents for the first time in November, welcoming their daughter, Paloma, into the world.
