An early morning 911 call about someone being “cut” at a south Georgia home led police to a man fatally stabbed multiple times by his 14-year-old son, investigators say.

The boy is in custody and faces multiple felony charges, the Valdosta Police Department said in a Jan. 10 news release.

It happened around 1:40 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, at a single-family home on Leone Avenue, police said. Valdosta is about a 230-mile drive southeast from Atlanta.

“A citizen ... report that someone had been cut. When officers arrived at the residence, they found Farmer Williams ... with multiple stab wounds,” police said.

“Officers attempted to render first aid to the victim until Emergency Medical Services from SGMC Health arrived on the scene.”

Williams, 61, was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.

An investigation concluded JaMaury Williams “had stabbed his father multiple times,” police said.

A motive has not been released.

The boy was arrested “without incident” and has been charged with:

• Malice murder-felony

• Felony murder-felony

• Aggravated assault-felony

• Possession of a knife during the commission of a felony.

He will be tried as an adult, police said.

Investigators have not revealed who called 911 to report the stabbing.
