Shelter cat is a ‘grumpy old man’ with iconic side eye — but he still wants love

All animals are worthy of having unconditional love showered on them — especially spicy, senior pets.

This is the case for Jenny — a senior cat who has the perfect “get off my lawn” expression down flat — who has had a rocky life, the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) said in a Facebook post.

“All Jenny has known is struggle and uncertainty,” the shelter said in the April 9 post.

“He’s never experienced the warmth of a cozy home or the unconditional love of a family, and it’s left him cautious, with big feelings and a bit of a tough exterior.”

Even though his age is unknown, this handsome gentleman gives off elderly cat vibes.

“The truth is, Jenny is just a grumpy old man. Yes, he’ll give you side-eyes and a few gummy hisses (because, well, he has no teeth). And yes, he may be a little bit of a challenge at first - but he’s worth it,” the shelter continued.

“With each passing day, his friends are seeing more of the soft, playful heart beneath his spiky exterior. We know that in a real home, he’ll open up even more. He didn’t ask for the life he’s had, but that doesn’t make him any less deserving of a chance.”
