Man accused of indecent exposure in front of child in H&M fitting room, NM cops say
A 45-year-old man accused of exposing himself in front of a child at a mall and filming others in fitting rooms has been arrested, New Mexico police said.
Timothy David Riha of Riverside, California, went into an H&M fitting room at the Coronado Center in Albuquerque on May 12 and exposed himself in front of a 7-year-old girl who was trying on dresses with her mom, according to an affidavit.
After the girl’s mom confronted him, he “tucked his penis back into his pants” and left the area, police said.
Riha is also accused of filming two people in fitting rooms.
On one occasion, an 18-year-old spotted him filming her as she tried on a bathing suit in a Hollister fitting room at the mall, according to the affidavit.
On another occasion, he went into a Target and filmed a 17-year-old in the fitting room, police said.
The 17-year-old was trying on clothes when she saw a camera peeking “through the gap between the bottom of the door and floor,” the affidavit said.
Riha was arrested in a Rio Rancho gym parking lot and booked into jail on charges of voyeurism (victim under 18) and aggravated indecent exposure (victim is less than 18 years old,) police said.
Rio Rancho is about a 15-mile drive northwest from downtown Albuquerque.
