A gambler visiting from California turned a bet into a big slot machine jackpot in Las Vegas.

The lucky visitor sat at a Huff N’ Even More Puff slot machine Sunday, Sept. 14, at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, the casino said in news release.

She bet $60, hit spin and watched as the symbols flashed across the screen until a jackpot message appeared.

The woman won $27,786.

Then the next day, another visitor hit a slot machine jackpot.

The man from Nevada was playing a Huff N’ Puff Grand Progressive slot machine when he bet 80 cents and won the $10,179.26 jackpot.

Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is about a 2-mile drive southeast from the Las Vegas Strip.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
