America's 250th called for special celebrations, and these pets jumped in on the festivities.

Olive, a soon-to-be 2-year-old miniature schnauzer, wore her best blue, red and white outfit, and strutted her stuff at a Fourth of July fashion show in Frisco, Texas, where she had a lot of fun, getting pets from people at the festival, her owner Brianna Gefre said.

Rusty, an 8-month-old pooch, believed to be an Aussiedoodle, also donned an American-flag themed outfit, before going out to enjoy various activities over the weekend, including playing in the pool, snacking on treats and snoozing hard.

"When fireworks began, we made sure Rusty stayed safe and comfortable," his owner Alivia Robertson said. "The only ‘firework' he experienced was watching a sparkler from a safe distance while wearing his little sunglasses."

Not one to be left behind, Goose, an 11-month-old American cocker spaniel, wore a customized red and blue bandana with "Merica" written on it. His owner Alicyn Coker said he spent the holiday at home with his parents and his older brother, Bear, enjoying frozen treats to beat the Texas heat.

"Golden Girls" Pearl and Poppi wore decorated bibs and headbands with blinking lights and 250 written on them for America's semiquincentennial.

"On the Fourth of July it's always important to me to make a special treat that my girls can enjoy too," their owner Elizabeth Lang told USA TODAY. "This year we made patriotic popsicle, had them dress up in their cutest gear, and even went swimming to beat the heat!"

Describing her pets as her "entire world," Lang said she loves "celebrating each holiday with them by making a themed treat and pulling out some cute outfits!"
