Early returns show who’s leading in Fort Mill, Tega Cay, York and Clover elections
Voters in York County headed to the polls Tuesday to vote for dozens of mayoral, city and town council candidates in several contested municipal elections.
Tega Cay residents voted to elect a new mayor. Fort Mill and Clover voters cast ballots for various town council members. And York residents voted to unseat two city council incumbents.
York County, which had 37,214 registered voters able to vote Tuesday, had about 18% voter turnout.
Polls closed at 7 p.m. and as of 10 p.m, 100% of precincts had reported.
The official results won’t be available until the board of elections certifies the votes. Incumbents are marked by an asterisk.

- Heather Overman - 44%

Christoph Halverson - 17.9%
Thomas Hyslip - 32.4%
Scott Shirley - 28.6%
Hyslip and Shirley will fill the two seats.
