Jeb Bush will hold a town hall-style event Thursday in Rock Hill, two days after a planned breakfast event was canceled, York County Republican leaders said Monday.

The former Florida governor’s presidential campaign confirmed that the town hall is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the Magnolia Room, 4017 Laurel Creek Drive, York County Republican Party Chairman Wes Climer said.

Free tickets are available on an Eventbrite page.

Bush had been set to appear Tuesday morning at Ebenezer Grill in Rock Hill, said owner Loyd Ardrey, but Ardrey said Monday said that the event had to be postponed.

A campaign staffer told The Herald the timing for Tuesday’s event was not going to work, and Bush had been seeing larger than usual crowds across the state. To accommodate a larger crowd, the campaign adjusted the candidate’s schedule and set up Thursday’s town hall event.

Bush campaigned with his brother, former president George W. Bush, in Charleston late Monday.

Once the frontrunner in South Carolina polls, back in the summer of 2015, Bush has failed to meet expectations in Iowa and New Hampshire. He has spoken twice before in Rock Hill, in November and August.
