Chalk, beach bash highlight second day of Rock Hill’s Come-See-Me

East Main Street transformed into a giant chalkboard for children during the Come-See-Me Chalk on Main event Friday afternoon. Soon afterward, the older set put on their dancing shoes for the festival’s Beach Bash at City Hall Plaza. The downtown events were just two of several on the festival’s schedule Friday, with even more in store all across the city Saturday. Come-See-Me, Rock Hill’s 10-day celebration of spring, continues with daily events through April 25.

Pancake Breakfast – 7 to 11 a.m., First Presbyterian Church, 234 E. Main St.

Road Races – Half-marathon, 5K and Fun Run, 7, 7:30 and 8:15 a.m., Stadium, South Pointe High School, 801 Neely Road

4th Annual Waggin’ Trail Dog Walk – 9 a.m.-noon, Comporium Technology Center, 471 Lakeshore Parkway

Gourmet Gardens – 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Cherry Park, 1466 Cherry Road

Main Street is Hopping! – 10 a.m.-noon, Main Street Children’s Museum, 133 E. Main St.

Mayor’s Frog Jump – 10 a.m.-noon, Cherry Park, 1466 Cherry Road

White Home – Historic House and Garden Tours, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., 258 E. White St.

Saturday Lunch and Garden Tour – 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Woman’s Club of Rock Hill, 607 Aiken Ave.

3rd Annual Doggy Couture Pet Fashion Show – 11:30 a.m. registration, 12:30 p.m. show, Rock Hill Animal Hospital, 1825 W. Main St.

Guided Kayak Tour of the Catawba River – 11:30 a.m., Camp Canaan, 3111 Sand Island Road
