A factory worker just won his second lottery jackpot of the summer, according to North Carolina officials.

Jack Dixon’s wins came just 60 days apart, and both were six figures, the N.C. Education Lottery reported Sept. 4.

His first win came July 1 in the Cash 5 online game, and he beat odds of 1 in 962,598 to win a $487,750 jackpot.

The second jackpot came Aug. 29 in the online Bison Bonanza game, and he won an “Epic jackpot” of $161,534, officials said. Odds were 1 in 31 million, state officials say.

Anyone hoping Dixon might shed some light on his astounding luck will be disappointed at his reaction.

“It’s kind of unbelievable,” he told lottery officials. “I’m just thankful.”

Dixon didn’t divulge plans for his July lottery win, which came to $348,743 after taxes.

This time around, the Granville County resident was a little more forthcoming, revealing he intended to “do something good with it.”

His Bison Bonanza prize came to $115,498 after tax holdings, officials said.

Bison Bonanza is a “digital instant game” with a jackpot that grows until someone wins. Players wager 50 cents to $30.

Dixon spent $1 on his winning ticket.
