‘Dink, drink, and dive into some Tex-Mex’ at new pickleball restaurant in Charlotte

Another spot to eat, drink and play pickleball all under the same roof is opening in Charlotte.

After much anticipation, Tipsy Pickle is officially opening at Camp North End on Saturday, Feb. 22 for the “pickleball pros and amateurs, golfers of all levels, cocktail drinkers, Tex-Mex lovers, and the I’m-just-here-for-the-vibe-rs.”

Tipsy Pickle in Charlotte has six pickleball courts, indoor and outdoor bars, golf simulators, arcade games, pool tables, ping pong, darts and shuffleboard.

“We wanted to create a space where people can come together, connect, and just have a great time,” Michael Salzarulo, co-founder of Tipsy Pickle, said in a release shared with CharlotteFive.

“Pickleball is booming, and we wanted to pair it with an exciting, welcoming atmosphere that offers great food, drinks, and a variety of activities to enjoy with friends and family.”

Similar to Rally Pickleball in LoSo, Tipsy Pickle is designed as an entertainment eatery where you can play a game, grab a bite to eat or both.

“With the array of activities we’re planning and the outstanding food and beverage options, we couldn’t have found a better location than Camp North End,” Salzarulo previously told us.

“Our vision is for people to use this on a weekly or even daily basis and be able to create a different experience every time they come.”

A project years in the making — with a lot of construction and big dreams — the 35,000-square-foot space will have six pickleball courts, indoor and outdoor bars, golf simulators, arcade games, pool tables, ping pong, darts and shuffleboard. And that doesn’t even cover the menu.

By morning, you can enjoy coffee and breakfast starting at 7 a.m. and munch your day away with an expanded menu of small bites, tacos, burgers, pizza and more like:

  • Bottomless chips and salsa

  • Carolina Catch tacos

  • Mexican Caesar salad

  • Mexi-Cali wrap

  • Papa Juan’s pizza

  • Pickleball Paddle nachos

If you want to hang by the bar, you’ll get to choose from a wide variety of cocktails, wine and beer.

“As a destination within a destination, Tipsy Pickle is serving up 35,000 square feet of pure fun at Camp North End,” said Tommy Mann, Development Director of Camp North End for ATCO Properties.

“From the beginning, we’ve been sold on Tanner [Brooks] and Mike’s vision that seamlessly fuses hospitality and entertainment, providing just another reason to visit and spend time at Camp. We will see all of you on the courts!”
