Rock legends Billy Joel & Sting’s Charlotte concert among tour dates pushed back
One of the biggest concerts coming to Charlotte has been pushed back to next year.
Nearly two months before Billy Joel and Sting’s return to the Queen City, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers announced that their Bank of America concert has been rescheduled due to a medical condition.
“While I regret postponing any shows, my health must come first. I look forward to getting back on stage and sharing the joy of live music with our amazing fans. Thank you for your understanding,” Joel said in a statement posted on Instagram.
The tour — which includes Charlotte as the only Southeast stop at this point — will be put on pause for four months to allow Joel to recover from a recent surgery and take on physical therapy, he shared.
After what’s expected to be a full recovery, the 75-year-old rock legend will be hitting the stage again this July before wrapping up one of his final performances in Charlotte on July 3, 2026.
The show, announced in a major reveal last fall, will be Billy Joel’s first time back at Bank of America Stadium since April 2022. Meanwhile, Sting is making his long-awaited return to Charlotte, where he last performed in 2007 at Spectrum Center (then called Charlotte Bobcats Arena).
Tickets already purchased for the one-night-only show will automatically be valid for the rescheduled date, and can still be bought online for fans who would like to go online at ticketmaster.com.
