Bank of America earned a No. 17 ranking on Forbes’ America’s Best Companies list, putting the Charlotte-based company among the nation’s most respected employers.

Forbes arrived at its rankings after evaluating over 2,000 U.S.-headquartered companies with at least 7,000 employees, using a comprehensive scoring system spanning more than 60 individual metrics across categories such as employee sentiment, customer satisfaction, financial strength, diversity and inclusion, cybersecurity, sustainability and media perception.

The ranking comes just weeks after Bank of America came in at No. 16 on Forbes’ list of dream employers, The Charlotte Observer reported. The company was also recognized by Forbes as the 45th best tech company for tech workers earlier this year.

Only one other North Carolina company cracked Forbes’ top 100: Lowe’s, headquartered in Mooresville. Duke Energy was ranked just outside the top 100, at No. 108.
