SC man accused of stabbing woman in leg with screwdriver

Myrtle Beach police arrested a man Saturday in connection with an assault that included the victim being stabbed in the leg with a screwdriver.

Little Joe Joe Mack, 41, of Myrtle Beach, was arrested Saturday and charged with assault/aggravated assault in connection with the incident, which left the victim crouched and "very shaken" in a corner, according to a police report.

Myrtle Beach police officers arrived at the scene after a report that a man had been "beating on" a woman at the location and had dragged her back in the house. Officers heard arguing upon arrival and took Mack into custody.

The victim said the man accused her of having a sexual relationship with his cousin and then began punching her, kicking her, bit her on the arm, scratched her tongue and stabbed her in the leg with the screwdriver.

Mack told police that no physical altercation took place and that he was just trying to get the victim to leave.

Detectives at the scene collected evidence from the home, which officers reported had items thrown all over the floor and the bathroom door broken off its hinges, including three screwdrivers.
