A bank was robbed in SC and there’s a search to find the man who’s responsible, police say
A search is underway for the man who recently robbed a bank in Lexington County, according to the West Columbia Police Department.
The robbery at the First Reliance Bank branch at 2805 Sunset Boulevard happened Friday at about 4 p.m., police said in a news release. That’s near Lexington Medical Center and Exit 110 on Interstate 26, in an area of West Columbia that’s densely packed with restaurants, retail businesses and hotels.
No injuries were reported in the robbery, according to the release.
Information about the robbery was not available.
There was no word about how much money was stolen.
Police are working with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department to apprehend the suspected robber.
Anyone who has information about the suspected bank robber is asked to call police at 803-794-0721, CrimeStoppers at 888-CRIME-SC or submit an online tip.
“The West Columbia Police Department is committed to ensuring the safety of our community and will continue to work diligently to locate and apprehend the suspect,” police said.
