One person detained after a morning shooting in Columbia, South Carolina police say
One person was taken to a South Carolina hospital and another was detained following a Monday morning shooting, according to the Columbia Police Department.
At about 10 a.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 5700 block of Farrow Road, police said. That’s in a part of Richland County between S.C. 277 and U.S. 21/North Main Street.
Officers found an injured male and he was taken to an area hospital, according to police. Further information on the victim’s condition was not available.
Another male was detained for questioning, police said.
No arrests have been reported, and there was no word on a motive for the gunfire.
The shooting continues to be investigated by police.
