Search ends for missing South Carolina woman who hadn’t been seen since December

The search for a missing Midlands woman ended Sunday.

Audri Fabiano returned to her home and is safe, the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office said Sunday afternoon.

Fabiano was previously publicly reported missing by the sheriff’s office Friday. The 20-year-old hadn’t been seen by her family since the end of last year, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

Prior to her return, Fabiano was last seen by family on Dec. 24, 2024, when she was in the company of a man and woman, who were not identified in the release.

Information about where Fabiano had been was not available.

Fabiano had not been in touch with family members, which is out of character for her since the sheriff’s office said she usually contacts them at least once a month.
