Teen who’s been missing for days is believed to be in danger, Richland County cops say
A search is underway in Richland County for a missing teenager who is believed to be in danger.
Da’Ziyah Peeples was publicly reported missing by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department Monday. The 15-year-old girl hasn’t been seen for days, the sheriff’s department said in a news release.
Da’Ziyah was last seen at about 2 p.m. Saturday at an apartment complex where she was staying, the sheriff’s department told The State. The apartment complex is at 7648 Garners Ferry Road, which is in Columbia and not far from Exit 9 on Interstate 77.
Da’Ziyah, who was called a runaway, is believed to have been alone when she was last seen, according to the sheriff’s department.
The teen is considered to be in danger because of remarks she made concerning her safety, the sheriff’s department said.
Da’Ziyah was last seen wearing blue jeans, black Crocs and a black Nike hooded sweatshirt, according to the sheriff’s department.
Anyone who has seen Da’Ziyah, or has information about her, is asked to call the sheriff’s department at 803-576-3000, CrimeStoppers at 888-CRIME-SC or submit an online tip.
