Buck Island, a private 10-acre island estate just off the coast of Hilton Head Island, is up for sale, according to a press release from the Etheridge Group of Daniel Ravenel Sotheby’s International Realty.
Accessible only by boat, the secluded island features sweeping marsh views, tidal creeks and majestic live oaks.
Two homes have been built on the property: a five-bedroom main house and a two-bedroom guest house.
A website for the property describes the main house as an “architectural masterpiece,” with open living spaces and floor-to-ceiling windows offering “breathtaking” views of the coast.
The property also includes a pool and hot tub with scenic marsh views.
The quaint two-bedroom guest house features a full kitchen and a wraparound deck.
A private dock offers boat access on Broad Creek. Nearby marinas include the Palmetto Bay Marina, the Harbour Town Yacht Basin, the Broad Creek Marina and the Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina.
According to Brian Etherige with the Etheridge Group, the property uses a septic tank system. He said the property is subject to the Town of Hilton Head Island’s real estate transfer fee, which amounts to 1/4 of 1% of the total sale price.
Previously, the property was marketed as a wedding venue, according to a website and social media profile for Buck Island.
