Letters to the editor for Nov. 23
U.S. undergoing some hard times
I sit here tonight thinking of what the last eight years have been for America. America is going through the hardest or one of the hardest times in American history.
I pray that we all have learned a lesson as to whom we will vote for in the future for the presidency. As we know, we have been led down a road of socialism in such a way that it is still shocking when I think of just how gullible the media was to support Barack Hussein Obama in the first place without checking out his background.
Days go by so quickly, and each day that passes, I and other patriots find ourselves with added concern about the viciousness of those in this present administration. There is no doubt that Satan thinks he has hold of what our Lord established those many centuries ago. Most assuredly, he did so to show Satan that there is a country made by him to show the world right from wrong.
At present, President Obama has now found himself in situations about which he has no control. He sees and hears the true voice of America coming at him from mostly all parts of America’s common sense. I believe that he originally thought that there would be hardly any fight by the citizens of our country against them taking over and planting their socialistic administration.
Obama now knows, along with his socialistic comrades, that their plan to take over the United States is well gone.
It is a fact that the many Republicans who are presently running for the presidency are doing so because they realize what is going on here in America, so let’s back them as a winning team and bring back America to its originality!

Government can’t vet refugees
It is my understanding the Obama administration, despite the strong disapproval of more than half the governors, is going to insert at least 10,000 Syrian “refugees” into our population, not even telling which towns or cities are involved. We are the most humanitarian country on the planet but it is impossible to fully vet these people, many of them men age l8-30.
They do not assimilate into our culture, have no inkling what has made this country great and have nothing to offer to our nation. Do we offer them free health care and housing benefits?
Why not instead let them remain in a safe area in Syria (and there are areas that are able to be defended). Give them food and housing. Put a coalition force around that area, provide them assistance and bomb any terrorist forces trying to enter that perimeter.
In the meantime, let those 18- to 30-year-olds learn how to defend their own country, just as our colonists and patriots did 200 years ago. If their way of life is so precious to them, let them take a stand. The president’s chief duty is to defend the people of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and he has failed (intentionally) miserably.
