Turn stadium into homeless center

I read with great interest your editorial "A plan for the homeless."

It has been on my mind for a while that the perfect solution for the Knights Stadium property would be to convert it into a nice complex for our homeless and abused citizens. Build the necessary infrastructure for housing, a large dining area, washerettes, etc. for this purpose.

Have a store for used clothing, furniture and groceries, anything needed to give our neighbors a new start in life. There is enough land there for a garden. Let the residents work in the garden, kitchens, anywhere to give them self worth.

Every church in York County could participate in the upkeep and with donations, York County could be a model for the state, if not the United States.

Incorporate Path of York, Pilgrims Inn in Rock Hill, and have one nice, loving care community for all of us to be proud of and feel good about. Let all of our consciences be a little clearer and unselfish.

What does Obama mean by 'change'?

If Obama is for change, why did he bring back all the Clinton has-beens, plus Hillary. That to me, does not show change.

If he closes the base at Guantanamo Bay, what is he going to do with those detainees? Give them a free pass to stay in the U.S.A.? We are in for a rude awakening.

Story was inspiring for special reason

I truly loved the article on the Friendship 9 and the apologies the two men stepped up to offer to them. One of those men, Steve Coleman, is my father, and I am so very proud of him. He is an amazing man, and I am so glad he is my dad.
