Media must be objective

Media must be objective

I believe that one of the fundamental problems of America concerns the news media. The news media should be much more diligent and objective in reporting the things political candidates and politicians do. I see the lack of diligence in your unwillingness to criticize President Barack Obama.

A recent commentary criticized Donald Trump for referring to women in degrading terms. Some of those same words should have been written about Obama years ago when he referred to Sarah Palin as a pig.

Editor’s note: During the 2008 presidential campaign, Democratic nominee Barack Obama, referring to proposals by the GOP ticket of Arizona Sen. John McCain and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin for changing policies in Washington, made this statement: “That’s not change. That’s just calling something the same thing something different. You know you can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig.”
