Voter needs convincing
Regarding today’s visits by Republican presidential candidates Sen. Rand Paul and Carly Fiorina, I’m looking forward to hearing them both and am curious about what they’ll say, but aren't sure if they’re the ones for me.
Sharing my thoughts in two words, I'll simply say: Convince me.

Seniors show appreciation
We've got Friday night lights and football fever in Rock Hill, “Football City,” and it’s as good as it gets. South Pointe vs. Northwestern doesn't get any better, but it did move up to the next level last Friday at District 3 Stadium.
It got better for a sellout crowd by a very special play drawn up for and executed by the Stallion seniors.
Each senior Stallion football player chose someone who works on the campus, from maintenance personnel, to teacher, to principal and all in between, someone who had made a positive impact in the seniors’ high school experience.
Each senior wrote a note of gratitude acknowledging his selected person for helping him along his personal journey through South Pointe High School.
All those selected were given the seniors’ white jerseys to wear as they paraded single file on the track in front of the cheering Stallion fans. Each recipient was introduced to the home crowd, and each senior’s note was read by the announcer.
It was a beautiful expression of gratitude for all to see, hear and remember.
It had all the makings of a new tradition, “The Stallion Way.”
