Letters to the editor for March 21

GOP is having too many debates

When the Republican debates started we had 17 people. Now we have three candidates, and we are still having debate after debate after debate, no matter how many candidates are left.

When someone drops off the political stage, they should put their support to the front-runner, not another politician. Voters are voicing their opinions: no more politicians. We should start the debates six months before November. The candidates run out of new things to say and, as a result, start throwing mud at each other.

Second, where was Mitt Romney in 2012? He gave the election to Obama without a fight, and now that someone else is fighting the Obama legacy, Romney is bashing the front-runner. Shame on him.

Third, instead of Ted Cruz rallying other party members to stop Donald Trump, he should be rallying to stop Hillary Clinton. If we are not careful she will sneak in the back door of the White House. There is a saying: Some people are so smart they are stupid.

Cruz, rethink your plan. We need Trump, not Clinton in the White House.

Non-political story was refreshing

Here we are caught up once again knee-deep in the hoopla of yet another mud-slinging presidential race. Ho-hum, ho-hum, ho-hum.

What a relief it was to read the heartwarming story about a truly hot dog who has certainly made a difference and has made the headlines. Congratulations to Justice “Kilo” Gibson, a narcotics K-9 with the York County Sheriff’s Office, who has officially retired. I wish him and his handler, Master Deputy Randy Gibson, nothing but the best!

Democrats are on road to tyranny

No matter how nutty the Republicans are, the Democrats are pure evil and fast trackers to tyranny. The left’s eternal whining about the good of taxes is disgusting.

For 50 years we have been hearing for argument, “But don’t you want maintenance of roads and bridges and good public schools?” For 50 years taxes have not gone toward maintenance of roads and bridges and public schools. Get a clue.

Taxes go toward destroying the country. All Americans hate the government, and the entire world hates America now, too.

We all hate big government. Hillary: “We need more government.” Talk about being pure evil.

If you vote Democrat it means you are a sadist and freedom hater and brain dead. Will you please let the country breathe?
