Here’s what 100 years of state titles looks like for teams in the Rock Hill region

A century of high school state championships is in the record books for teams from York, Lancaster and Chester counties.

From dominant early teams in just a couple of sports to an array of winners from more schools as time has progressed.

Herald reporter John Marks did a compilation of state titles this summer. We found that it covers a host of schools, an array of sports, and 100 years.

The South Carolina High School League record book covers 22 sports. Then there are private schools. We also found information on some segregation-era schools.

Take a look here at how and when more than 250 titles came to area schools.
